Petrol engines
The supercharged eight-valve four-cylinder 1.2-litre TSI was first used on the Yeti. The Fabia offers it with an output of 77kW. The new TSI achieves lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, better acceleration, and a higher top speed than the original atmospheric engines.
Transmission systems
Manual five-speed transmissions systems are available for all engines which offer precise and light gearshifts even on short trips. A completely new automatic transmission system is also offered for the more powerful engine 1.2 TSI /77kW: a 7-speed dual-clutch DSG transmission system known from the Octavia, Yeti and Superb. Available mid 2012.
