Two petrol engines and one diesel option comprise the range of engines for the new Octavia Liftback and Wagon. A completely new option in the range is the 1.8 TSI petrol engine with a power output of 118kW, which is combined with a 7-speed DSG - or double-clutch automatic gearbox.

Diesel lovers will enjoy the powerful 2.0 TDI 103kW model.

1.8 TSI with 7-speed DSG

With the combination of the 1.8 TSI/118kW petrol engine and
7-speed DSG, the Octavia reaches a maximum speed of 223km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in 7.8 seconds. Combined consumption is only 6.7 litres per 100km, which corresponds to CO2 emissions of 157g/km.

2.0 diesel engine

The powerful 2.0 TDI/103kW turbo diesel engine with a
pump-jet fuel injection system delivers acceleration speeds of
0-100km/h in 9.6 seconds. You will also enjoy this engine’s favourable CO2 emissions values at 150g/km.

Manual gearboxes

For the new Octavia model, depending on the chosen engine, the standard is a classic 5-speed (for the 1.6 engine) or 6-speed (for the 1.8 TSI and 2.0 TDI engines) manual gearbox.

In addition to the current classic 6-speed automatic gearbox and the 6-speed double-clutch DSG gearbox, a new feature in the range of gearboxes is a 7-speed double-clutch DSG gearbox for the 1.8 TSI petrol engine.
