The only thing we dared to decide for you
Before anything, a car must be safe. This feeling of safety is inspired by being surrounded by engineering and design that you can have confidence in and that can be relied upon, in any conditions.
Inspired by “safety above all” the RS is equipped with many modern active and passive safety elements. As with every Skoda, your safety is always our priority.
The RS is fitted with six airbags as standard; however, the protection they provide is anything but. Driver and front passenger, front side and curtain airbags combine to provide an enhanced level of safety for each occupant, no matter where they’re sitting.
What does ESP, ABS, etc. mean? Primarily they give you certainty and control of the car when driving on a slippery surface and in critical situations. The electronic systems ABS, MBA braking assistant, EBD and ASR anti-slip are standard, and all go to make up ESP, or Electronic Stabilisation Program, which provides exceptional integrated control.

Tyre Pressure Monitoring
TPM monitors the tyre pressure. It assesses the ratio of revolutions by each wheel in relation to the other tyres using data from the ABS sensors. If revolutions by one wheel change due to a fall in the tyre pressure, a light will illuminate on the dashboard and warn you in time.

Enough light
The front lights are like the car’s eyes, designed to make sure you’ll always see and be seen on the road. They stand out thanks to their high luminance, while also emphasising the car’s attractive appearance.

Light Assistant
The Light Assistant contains several useful helpers, such as “Coming Home” and “Leaving Home”, which light the way when arriving at, or leaving, the car, as well as the “Tunnel Light” function, where the lights come on automatically when there is a fall in the intensity of outside light.

Aero-windscreen wipers
Single spring wipers apply constant, equal pressure on the windscreen, thereby ensuring equal wiping throughout. Co-ordination with the rain sensor ensures the wipers activate at the first sign of rain, and it controls their speed depending on the intensity of the rain. So no matter the conditions outside, the view from the RS remains clear.
