Ambassadors

Phil Anderson

Phil Anderson OAM is one of Australia’s cycling heroes, having kicked things off with a gold medal win in the 1978 Commonwealth Games. From that amazing start, up until his retirement after winning Commonwealth gold again in 1994, Phil had over 90 Classics and Tours wins. In 1981 he became the first Australian (and first non-European) to win the prestigious yellow jersey in the Tour de France. Ultimately Phil won the yellow jersey 11 times and rose to number one in the world. As a Škoda ambassador, Phil has been riding alongside fans at major cycling events and continuing as professional cycling correspondent. Coming up for Phil & Škoda – the Tour de France and the 2010 World Road Championships, to name just a few.

Jack Bobridge

Jack Bobridge

He may be young, but Jack Bobridge is already a legend in the world of professional cycling. In addition to winning several Australian and World Championship titles already, in 2009 he became Australia’s first ever world champion in the under-23 time trial at the UCI Road Cycling World Championships in Mendrisio, Switzerland. Having been hailed by Lance Armstrong as “the real deal”, he’s now got his sights firmly set on the 2010 Tour Down Under with top professional team Garmin Slipstream, and the 2012 Olympics, with a few other huge events along the way. As a proud supporter of young Aussie talent, Škoda is thrilled to have Jack on board as our newest brand ambassador. See jack’s full list of achievements here.
