Skoda Superb Wagon

A sense of safety and enjoyment for the whole ride

The Superb lives up to its name when it comes to safety thanks to its wide range of active and passive safety elements, including some new features that offer maximum protection of passengers.

As the flagship for the ŠKODA range, the Superb naturally places the protection of driver and passenger as paramount. Independent testing performed by Euro-NCAP, in which the Superb attained the highest possible rating of five stars, has vindicated this pursuit of safety without compromise.

Airbags are an integral part of a car's safety features today. The ŠKODA Superb has nine airbags as standard. In addition to the curtain airbags, driver's and front passenger's airbags, and side airbags in the front, the Superb has a knee airbag for the driver and side airbags for the rear passengers. Regardless of where you sit, you're literally surrounded by ŠKODA's commitment to safety.

Naturally, safety is optimised by the simple rule of 'see and be seen'. The Superb follows this rule through Bi-Xenon headlights with AFS functionality, integrated telescopic washers, a rain sensor and front foglights with 'Corner' function. Side indicator lights are integrated into the external mirrors for better visibility, and the hazard warning lights are also automatically activated when braking sharply. Drivers behind you will therefore have more time to react to a dangerous situation.

In addition to the variable electromechanical power steering and vented disc brakes on all wheels, a range of electronic systems ensures excellent stability and control of the Superb.

Standard features include the ESP stabilisation program with an EDL electronic differential lock and an HBA hydraulic brake assistant. Obviously, these systems also include ABS, EBD and ASR to provide exceptional integrated control in any conditions.

For your safety and an easier, more comfortable drive every Superb provides 'hill hold control' to help take the hassle out of hill starts, all without the use of the handbrake.

Bi-Xenon headlamps

Bi-xenon headlights with Adaptive Frontlight System (AFS) automatically adapt the lighting to various situations, rotate into turns, alter the illuminated area depending on the speed and actual driving conditions, and offer various lighting options (city, urban, motorway, rain).

Knee airbag

The driver's knee airbag is a new safety feature and is appearing in a ŠKODA vehicle for the first time. It is located under the steering column and reduces the risk of injury to the lower limbs during a head-on collision. Discreet signage on the side of the dashboard alerts the driver to the position of the knee airbag.

Park Assist

Optional Park Assist is our answer to the anxiety of parking in a line of parked vehicles. With the simple push of a button, Park Assist assesses whether the distance between the cars is sufficient to park in. Then just put the car in reverse, gently accelerate or brake in accordance with the instructions of the Maxi DOT display and the Superb will take care of parking. Problem solved.
