Advanced Car Safety Features Plus Luxury..
With advances in technology, we are always looking at new ways to enhance safety levels even further. The new ŠKODA Superb Wagon presents a number of innovative and new safety elements on which you can rely.
The basic building blocks for your safety are airbags and electronic stability systems. The Superb Wagon is fitted with nine airbags, including side and head airbags, as well as a knee airbag for the driver.
The Electronic Stabilisation Program (ESP) stabilisation program, including ABS (Anti-lock Brake System), MSR (Torque Moment Regulation), ASR (Anti-Slip Regulator), EDS (Electronic Differential Lock) and HBA (Hydraulic Brake Assistant), ensures the car can be controlled in critical situations.
Lighting is an important element in active safety. The Bi-xenon headlights with Adaptive Frontlight System (AFS) alter the lighting to suit various travelling conditions.
Starting on a slope without using the handbrake is comfortable and safe thanks to the hill hold control. The tyre pressure control function also guarantees peace of mind on your travels.

Driver and Passenger Airbags
These belong to the basic car safety elements, as do the head airbags which create a protective wall along the side windows when activated. The driver's knee airbag prevents contact with the lower part of the dashboard in the event of a collision.

Four-wheel Drive Control
The ŠKODA Suberb Wagon can boast advanced all-wheel drive through a fourth generation inter-axle Haldex clutch. This guarantees great handling and, together with ABS, ESP and EDS, better control on slippery surfaces.

Windscreen Rain Sensor
The rain sensor in the rear-view mirror automatically activates the front windscreen wipers based on the rain intensity.

Tyre Pressure Monitoring
This system utilises data from the ABS sensors. Any decrease in tyre pressure is manifested by a change in revolution speed of the under-inflated tyre compared to the others, so a warning light on the instrument panel will alert the driver about the inconsistency.
