As is the custom with other Škoda models, the Elroq is available with Driving Mode Select. There are 5 or 6 driving modes, depending on the version. The rear-wheel drive version offers the following choice of modes: Eco, Comfort, Normal, Sport and Individual.

Regenerative braking is a process where the vehicle’s kinetic energy is converted into electricity, which is then stored in a high-voltage battery. Cars with internal combustion engines convert kinetic energy from the friction between brake pads and brake discs into heat, which is not used in any way and is dissipated into the air. Regenerative braking therefore makes efficient use of energy and helps to increase the range of the Elroq by partially recharging the battery while the car is in motion.

To maximise the range, the Elroq features various aerodynamic enhancements that contribute to an impressive drag coefficient of just 0.26. These include a radiator with active shutters to reduce air resistance when cooling isn’t needed, aerodynamically optimised wheels for smooth airflow around the car, air curtains to improve airflow around the front bumper and minimise swirling air currents behind the wheels, and a completely flat chassis to reduce turbulent air flows underneath the vehicle.
