But how do we know how fast should feel?

We've had some practice. Škoda's motorsport story stretches back more than a century, providing a proving ground for engineering, innovation and performance.

Then, in 1974, two letters joined the story.

RS.

Rally Sport.

First used on the Škoda 180 RS and 200 RS rally prototypes, RS would go on to represent the performance-focused side of Škoda — first in competition, and eventually on the road.

1974

Say hello to RS.

The Škoda 180 RS and 200 RS become the first cars to wear those now-famous letters. RS. Rally Sport. Built to compete, the 200 RS could reach speeds of up to 240 km/h. Not bad for a first go.

1975

A legend follows.

Meet the Škoda 130 RS. Light. Agile. And very, very good at going quickly. It would go on to take a 1–2 class finish at the 1977 Monte Carlo Rally and earn Škoda the manufacturers' title in the 1981 European Touring Car Championship. Those two letters were starting to make a name for themselves.

2000

RS hits the road.

Enter the Octavia RS. For the first time, you didn't need a helmet, a rally stage or a racing licence to experience RS. The performance spirit of Škoda Motorsport had found its way into an everyday Škoda. And thankfully, it stayed.

2018

Fun for the whole family.

Then came the Kodiaq RS. Seven seats. SUV practicality. And an RS badge on the back. Proof that growing the family doesn't necessarily mean growing out of having fun behind the wheel.

2022

RS goes electric.

The Enyaq RS arrives as the first fully electric member of the RS family. No combustion engine. No problem. A new way to create performance — and a new chapter for those two little letters.
