The standard-fit Driving Mode Select offers three additional modes to take full advantage of all the plug-in hybrid’s capabilities. Pressing the E-mode button powers the car purely with electricity. In Hybrid mode, the electronics automatically regulate the interaction between the petrol engine and the electric motor.

The electric motor and powerful 25.7 kWh lithium-ion battery allow for an electric range of over 100 km in the WLTP cycle. That’s more than enough not just for all your daily trips in the city centre, but also for a leisurely family trip into the countryside. To activate purely electric drive, simply select the E-mode.

For longer business trips, out-of-town excursions or holidays, you’ll appreciate the 45-litre fuel tank and the 1.5 TSI petrol engine with a range of hundreds of kilometres and a total power output of 150 kW. For your maximum driving comfort there is an automatic 6-speed DSG. Another upside is more economical driving with lower consumption and CO2 emissions.

The Superb PHEV is ready for everyday situations in which you will get the most out of the plug-in hybrid drive. Want to preserve the battery charge before entering the city centre? In the Hybrid menu, you can switch to manual control of the hybrid system and set a battery level below which the car will no longer draw power from the battery.

The E-noise sound generator is built into the car’s front section so that road users, such as pedestrians and cyclists, have ample warning when the Škoda Superb PHEV is approaching in electric mode.
